We will be carrying out essential work to replace ageing water mains around Herne Road. This will help reduce leaks and provide a more reliable water supply for the future.
When and where will the work take place?
The work will take place on Herne Road, with the section of renewal taking place from the junction of Oilmills Road to just North of Daintree Road.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday 20 July 2026 and is expected to take approximately six weeks to complete.
Our teams will normally work between 7:30am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasionally, evening or weekend work may be required to reduce traffic disruption.
Will traffic be affected?
To complete the work safely, a road closure will be in place at the junction of Oilmills Road to the junction B1040 St Marys Road
Access to frontages will be maintained for the duration of the works, with access provided from the B1040 St Mary’s Road side of the closure.
