We will be carrying out essential work to replace ageing water mains around Birdwood Road. This will help reduce leaks and provide a more reliable water supply for the future.

Work will begin on Chalmers Road and then move to the remaining streets in the order listed above.
Work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday 07 April 2026 and is expected to take approximately twelve weeks to complete. Our teams will normally work between 7:30am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasionally, evening or weekend work may be required to reduce traffic disruption.
Will traffic be affected?
To complete the work as safely and efficiently as possible, we will be required to put in temporary road closures on Chalmers Road, Gray Road and Ward Road. Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place where necessary.
Access to frontages will be maintained throughout the duration of the works, and suitable diversion routes will be in place.
