To apply for a new connection at your site, we’ll need:
- A site plan
- An administration fee (card, cheque or BACs)
- A soil analysis report should be supplied for all sites where a new main is being laid
- A completed application form

What happens next?

- Step 2 We’ll confirm receipt within five days
- Step 3 We’ll send you a quote within 28 days
- Step 4 You make payment
- Step 5 You supply us with the property’s postal address
- Step 6 You lay your supply pipe (see Useful downloads) to the position confirmed by us and let us know it's ready for inspection
- Step 7 We aim to inspect your supply pipe within five days
- Step 8 We aim to make the connection (within 21 days). This may be extended due to Local Authority highway opening restrictions
- Step 9 We connect your new supply and fit the meter
Tagging of water supplies
Where multiple services are being laid it is critical that the pipes are clearly identified with the plot number. Due to the nature of building sites tags must be well fixed, waterproof and clear.
In order to preserve water quality and prevent debris entering the pipe that could cause a blockage or damage the meter, the end of the pipe should be securely sealed or capped. Ideally, a cap end fitting should be used or alternatively the end should be well protected with PVC tape.
If our contractor attends site to connect multiple connections that are not clearly marked they are instructed to inform the Developer’s Site Manager immediately. If the confirmation of which pipes supply which plots is not provided with the job may be aborted. An abortive cost may then be re-charged to the developer.
