12 December 2014

Today (Friday 12th December), we have announced that our bills will fall by a total of 4% over the next five years, before the effects of inflation.

Following the submission of our updated business plan in June, Ofwat, the water industry economic regulator, has today published the Final Determination for South Staffs Water for the period 2015 to 2020.

Not only will our water bills fall from £141 to £135 (one of the lowest bills in England and Wales), but we have committed to maintaining and improving the service we deliver to our customers by setting our investment in the region of £480m over the next five years.

Throughout the business planning process we have consulted with our customers and taken the time to listen to their views. This has shaped our focus and priorities for the period ahead.

Phil Newland, Managing Director, said;” We believe that our business plan is positive for customers both now and in the longer term. It allows for low bills, high service and efficiency through innovation and delivering outcomes that our customers value. The plan has strong customer endorsement and is built upon our current high performance.”
