New connections charging consultation

We’re looking at better ideas for how we charge for new connections on developments, so we’re running a consultation to find out what our customers think. We want to ensure our charges are fair, affordable, transparent and help to ensure we offer a customer-led service and encourage competition where appropriate.

We’re updating our charges as Ofwat, the economic regulator for the water sector, has altered its charging rules on new connection services, with the changes applying from 1 April 2018. We want to ensure they are fair, affordable, transparent and to help ensure we offer a customer-led service.

Our consultation covers a range of areas including: new connection charges, requisition charges, infrastructure charges, and variations in costs, transition arrangements and asset payments. To have your say please read our consultation document

Your opinions and comments on proposed changes are greatly appreciated, and we invite you to provide feedback via email by the 10th November 2017

We will also be holding a Forum Event on the 23rd November 2017 in Cambridge to gather further, more detailed feedback from customers. If you would like to register for this event please contact us at the e-mail address above.
