Ways to pay your bill

At Cambridge Water we offer a range of flexible ways for you to pay your bill.

  • My Account - My Account is the new online billing service from Cambridge Water. With My Account you can access your water account and make payments at a time and place that suits you. We’ll also be able to offer you personalised information, advice and ways to save money on your water account. To register for My Account simply go to the Register page and type in your eight digit reference number from the top of your new look bill
  • Direct Debit^ - Simple, safe and convenient, Direct Debits allow you to spread the cost of your bill over the year. You can easily set up a Direct Debit by calling 01223 706050. Payments will be made to South Staffs Water which is a trading name of the registered company which also trades as Cambridge Water. 
  • Pay by debit or credit card online^ - You can pay with your debit or credit card here using Santander’s secure BillPay service. You will need your customer reference number from the front of this bill.
  • By debit or credit card over the telephone^ - Call us on 01223 706050.
  • Internet or phone banking^ - You can pay your bill by bank transfer using your internet or phone banking service to our sort code: 40-11-18 and our account number 40770132, payable to South Staffs Water which is a trading name of the registered company which also trades as Cambridge Water.  Please quote your customer reference number from the front of your bill.  Payment can take up to three working days. 
  • Cash – Pay at the Post Office, at a bank, or at your nearest PayPoint outlet (your closest is printed on the front of your bill). Please ask for a receipt. Cheques - Cheques should be made payable to Cambridge Water. Please ensure your customer reference number from the front of this bill is quoted on the back and sent to Cambridge Water, PO Box 7040, Green Lane, Walsall, WS1 9QG. You can also pay by cheque at a Post Office or bank. If you need a receipt please ask for one. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH THROUGH THE POST.
  • Payment cards - These are available from us on request.
  • Deduction from benefits: If you are in receipt of Jobseekers’ Allowance, Income Support, income-related Employment and Support Allowance or Pension Credit, we may be able to arrange for money to be deducted from your benefit and paid to us. Please remember to tell us if you do this. Alternatively, if you owe us money, we may make a request directly to these agencies for money to be paid to us. All collection activity on the account will be put on hold while we are awaiting a response from Jobcentre Plus. If approved, these deductions will cover the weekly liability as well as a contribution towards paying off any arrears that may be on the account.

 

PLEASE NOTE: If your payment is returned as unpaid, a fee may be added to your account.

^ Payments by debit card are free, but there’s an administration charge for payments made by credit card. We accept all cards except American Express. Payments at Post Offices or banks may take up to 14 days to reach us.
