Climate Change

Cambridge Water supplies one of the driest regions in the country, which is predicted to see a change in climate from temperature rise and changes to rainfall patterns. It is important that we assess the potential impacts and challenges of future climate changes on our business.

 In addition to mitigating the effects of climate change by reducing our carbon footprint, we will adapt to futures changes, and to do this we ensure that;

 ·         We plan for maintaining water supplies to a growing number of customers in drier summers and at times of drought.

 ·         We incorporate future uncertainties into our planning process

 ·         We plan for effective adaptation to climate change at the least cost and impact to our customers and the environment.
