Cambridge Water is giving away free water efficiency devices to businesses that operate within its area of supply.
To help you reduce the amount of water you use on a daily basis, Cambridge Water is offering the following devices free of charge:
Hippo water savers –
Do you know that 30% of your precious water supply is flushed down the toilet? Most toilets do not need to use a full cistern to flush effectively. Hippos will save 2-3 litres of water per flush when fitted in a cistern of nine litres capacity.
Twin tap inserts -
The Tap Insert Twin Pack is designed to reduce the flow rate on two taps to 3.5 litres a minute, saving up to 12 litres a minute and reducing your gas or electricity bills by reducing the amount of hot water.
ShowerSave -
ShowerSave can help the average household save £34 every year – so think about the savings this could mean for your business. Using flow regulator technology, the ShowerSave creates a constant flow of 7.6 litres of water every minute, independent of changes in water pressure.

By working together with businesses, schools and customers, Cambridge Water hopes to save 125,000 litres of water every day. This is equivalent to 18 Olympic sized swimming pools every year. These savings are being made by all water companies to help protect the environment for generations to come.
