Hippos

Hippos save up to two litres of water per flush. If your toilet was installed before 1991 it will be nine litres in volume, or more. This type of toilet will work well with a Hippo fitted.

If your toilet was installed between 1992 to 2001, it will be 7.5 litres in volume. This type of toilet will also work well with a Hippo fitted.

If your toilet was installed after 2001, it will be six litres in volume (the current standard) and it should not be reduced further with any type of device.

Tap Insert Twin Pack

The Tap Insert Twin Pack is designed to reduce the flow rate on two taps around the home to 3.5 litres a minute, saving up to 12 litres a minute and reducing your gas or electricity bills by reducing the amount of hot water.

Benefits:

• Contains anti limescale materials approved to BS6920.
• Use of original housing retains design and aesthetics of original tap.

Each kit contains four adaptor rings (two black and two grey) to select for your present housing when fitting and two 3.5 litres a minute aerators with Intelligent Flow Control.

Fitting Instructions:

1.     Slide the opening of the blue tool around the end of the tap. There are various size fittings so make sure the tool fits snugly.  

2.     Twist anticlockwise until the end of the tap comes away from the spout.

3.     Remove the original insert from the housing.

4.     From the components, select one to replace the old insert, as follows (you’ll find only one component will fit):

o    The grey ring is for housings that have an internal shoulder at the outlet of the housing.

o    The black ring is for housings that have no visible shoulder.

o    For small housings (JR size) just insert the aerator.

Install the converter ring into the tap housing and using original gasket replace on to spout hand tight. If using the grey or black converter ring, insert the aerator fully into the ring until the top of the aerator is flush with the top of the ring.
